Hello friends!
I hope every one has had an amazing holiday, regardless of what you celebrate or even if you celebrate at all! This time of year is perfect from spending time with family and books.
I normally wouldn’t post anything about presents I’ve received, but I got so many books this year that I simply had to share with you all this amazing book haul!
(Side note: This is in no way me bragging about anything I promise! And if you feel like it’s braggy at all, just click the little x in the right hand corner of your screen!)
Books
My wonderful mother and father showered me in books this year, and I couldn’t be happier about it! I’ve talked all about these books on my blog, but if you want to know anything else about them, let me know in the comments below!
Not that Kind of Girl by Lena Dunham
Eleanor & Park and Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen
The Love Affairs of Nathaniel P. by Adelle Waldman
The Lucifer Effect by Philip Zimbardo
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
Looking for Alaska by John Green
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin
Random Knick-Knacks
Winnie the Pooh Tsum Tsum
I’m obsessed with Winnie-the-Pooh. I have been since I was a little girl. I’ve had a Winnie-the-Pooh (aptly named Gerald) that Ryan got me when we went to Disney together about two years ago that I take with me on all my travels. This year my brother got me another stuffed animal Winnie-the-Pooh and I am over the moon about it. It’s super adorable and just the right size!
Toaster
As a quasi-adult, I need adult things in my life. I was super thrilled to finally get a toaster so I can toast my English muffins in the morning before class!
Canvas
I can’t wait to hang this adorable canvas from my mother up in my apartment! (My brother’s cat [Macaron — like Macaroni] insisted on being in the picture.)
Plant
My brother’s girlfriend is super artsy and made all of us these adorable plants for Christmas. Its a succulent plant, so I’m not likely to kill it anytime soon.
If you got any great gifts that you’re super pumped about (books or otherwise) let me know in the comments below!
Happy reading and a happy new year to you all!
Kimberly
I just finished reading ‘Tonight The Streets Are Ours’ by Leila Sales. Awesome book! Highly recommend it!
