Top 10 Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in 2010. It’s a fun way for bloggers all over the Internet to connect and post the things they love about books. It is the eve of the eve of the eve of Christmas (that means Christmas is three days away!), so I’m here to tell you about the books I hope I can find under the Christmas tree this year.
1. Not That Kind of Girl by Lena Dunham
It finally came out in paperback, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I’ve heard SO much about it since it came out and have wanted to read it so badly, but I refused to buy the hardcover copy!
2. Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff
This book follows a married couple through all the trials and tribulations of their life together. I’m particularly interested in reading this novel because it includes different perspectives of the main characters, which we all know I love.
3. Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll
A friend recommended this to me while I was on a trip, and I’d love to read it. It gives you the back story to why the mean girl does what she does. It looks like a book with a lot of twists and turns that keeps the reader engaged.
4. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
I’ve wanted to read this book for SO LONG, but it’s not out in paperback yet. I’m still waiting for that day.
5. The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
I would love to have a beautiful copy of all the Sherlock Holme’s novels to display and read in my library one day. I’m a huge fan on intricate book spines.
6. A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
I’ve been wanting to read this book since high school, but I’ve never been able to find a copy I like. So a beautiful copy of this mind-bending story would be a perfect gift from Santa Claus.
7. We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
Promising dark secrets and twists around every corner, “We Were Liars” has always interested me and I wouldn’t mind ripping off some Christmas paper to see it underneath.
8. We All Looked Up by Tommy Wallach
This highly acclaimed novel follows the story of four high school seniors as their world’s are about to be changed forever. An asteroid hurtling toward Earth promises a great tale.
9. Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
I actually have to read this book for my upcoming class in January, and I’m excited to find out what it’s all about.
10. Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes
Because anything written by the woman who came up with Christina Yang is worth a read.
